If you have a Council green waste bin at home you can now put raw and cooked food scraps, including fruit, vegetables, meat, seafood, bones, noodles, rice, eggshells, bread, dairy, coffee grounds and tea leaves in it from 1 July 2022.
Most things you can grow in a garden or eat can now go in your green waste bin.
Do not put plastics or plastic bags, coffee pods, tea bags, paper, nappies, or animal droppings in your green bin.
There is no additional charge to add food waste in your green bin, and no changes to when the green bin is collected.
There are five libraries in Brimbank - Deer Park, Keilor, St Albans, Sunshine and Sydenham. All Brimbank libraries are closed on public holidays.

All dogs and cats older than 3 months in Brimbank must be microchipped, desexed and registered with Council. Pet registration is required by law.

Pet registration must be paid each year by 10 April. We will send out a letter each year to let you know when the renewal fee is due.

Our registered nurses provide information and advice about the care and health of your child. This service is for children from birth to school age at no charge.
Our childhood immunisation program is delivered by registered nurses. Immunisation sessions are held regularly at locations across Brimbank.
